The Playwrights’ Patch is our little corner of the world to quietly support playwrights and celebrate theatre history.
In 2024, the Theatrabilia Playwrights' Hub opened
in Liskeard, Cornwall after establishing an online presence in 2016. We have now relocated to a fresh space in Millbrook, Cornwall.
The studio is a stagey haven bursting with books, programmes and memorabilia to inspire and support your craft. You will find a quiet space which welcomes empaths, introverts and those who prefer a gentle life. It is a writing space for Tim, who quietly writes plays and explores theatre history through the lens of his collection.
The Patch is a cosy place for like-minded theatre enthusiasts and professionals to connect, featuring hand-crafted exhibitions, a script library service, workshops, events, and pre-loved theatre memorabilia to view and buy.
We are passionate about honouring the past, present and future of theatre, with an emphasis on the therapeutic nature of writing for the stage.

PLANT THE SEEDS OF YOUR STORY
The Playwrights' Patch is a gentle place to plant the seeds of your story and cultivate plays. We are particularly interested in the fertile, rich beginnings of a creative project where anything is possible. Russell T Davies refers to this nebulous part of the process as “living in the maybe”.
Let’s revel in the maybe and fill our plot of land with stories.
From autobiographical monologues to plays reflecting society, we gently work with those with a story to tell on stage.
In collaboration with Small Things Bright and Beautiful, we offer bespoke healing journals and literary ephemera to provide holistic, healing writing support. Feel free to join us for creative workshops, one-to-one writing sessions and events across the year ahead.
